Seabright and Seabright

I went to a recent tasting arranged by Seabright and Seabright whose philosophy is to bring top quality wines over from France, the kind that we all seem to find when we are on holiday in France but never seem to get imported into the UK.

There was one wine that really stood out for me, the Eole Blanc 2008 from Chateau de la Tuilerie. The unusual shaped bottle caught my eye but it was the aromas that really made me take note - herbs, aniseed, white fruit, all incredibly perfumed with the flavours to match all within a wonderful texture.

Small companies like Seabright and Seabright deserve to succeed in what is a crowded market. They source interesting wine at reasonable prices. I was impressed with the range and prices and would rather buy say a Southern French wine from them than any of the supermarkets. I don’t know what their customer service is like and I guess this is where they can differentiate themselves. I hope the event, held at the Maison de Languedoc-Roussillon in London, was worth it for them in terms of increased awareness amongst the trade and press.

Now is the time to take a look at their offerings as they are offering £10 of the first order to new customers. They deliver direct to customers in cases of 12 which can be mixed. They can be followed on Twitter as @seabrightwines.
