Biddenden Vineyards

If you fancy a trip into the Kent countryside one day and are interested in learning more about how wine and cider is made Biddenden Vineyards is well worth a visit. It’s the oldest commercial winery in England and they do regular tours.

The tour starts in the shop with a welcome coffee then moving over to the vineyard where the different varieties are described as well as the stages in the life of a vine before the grapes are picked. Its over to the winery passing by the enormous tanks used for the cider before the cider as well as the wine making process is described.

The tour ends with a tasting of the ciders and wines in the shop where you are able to buy a bottle or any of the local produce.

Check out their website for dates for the next tours.
